If there is one sartorial thing I dislike, it?s short-sleeved shirts. I don?t get them. Why would one want to look like a pens salesman or used-car salesman? Don?t get me wrong, I am think all honest professions are commendable; it?s looking like a cliche that I am against. Because life?s too short to not look or feel your best.
But there comes a time when I can make certain leeway for stunning pieces that don?t look like what they are. Like this awesome short-sleeved shirt from 3.1 Phillip Lim. Personally, this would go on my to-buy list for this season if it came in a long sleeve shirt version but the dip-dye detail is visually arresting and stunning. I like how the colors create a stand-out hit of refined cool ? nothing contrived or banal.
The fact that there is a button tab on the sleeves for when you roll them up gives off a muscle polo tee impression is smartly done. The gain is a stylish piece that looks nothing like a cliche.
