Our most loved season is almost half way through. Summer can be a wonderful bonding time for the family, but also tricky with the kids at home with no school. It?s enough to drive any? practical mummy barmy!
Let?s?run through a fun list of exciting things you and the kids can do this summer to keep you entertained. If you?re going away up north for a bespoke family holiday or simply staying home, what with recession and all, you?ve got to get the kids to do something that is not only fun but also educational. Get kids to do painting, simple sticking craft work or try making their favourite characters with play dough. This will get arts and craft in place. Be wary to?add in crafts that don?t require too much cutting. Dedicate an art space, may be in your extended conservatory and have all art supplies stacked neatly in bright organised shelving.
Reading at home, during bedtime, borrowing books from the library makes Jack a smart boy and every kid for that matter. Read out to toddlers and preschoolers in exciting voices and expressions, using touch-n-feel books of various textures. Let kids choose their own books from the children?s section of library. Pick a few yourselves in case they are unhappy with their choice later on.
Get?your swimsuits out and head to your local community pool. Water babies are what we all are during the summer. Camp out in the garden and have a barbeque with kids playing out in their tents, garden slides, swings, sandpits and water guns. A trip to the seaside and caravan or camping with the family is all the more brilliant. And if all this isn?t enough and you want more, some online Bingo jackpots is sure to?make you chuffed to bits! Teach your kids to use the i-pad and get technology savvy whilst you get your?basket filled with?gorgeous goodies and a fast quid!
