Objective

The Slam Dunk Contest is changing slightly this year, as the Eastern Conference is squaring off against the West throughout the four different events on All-Star Saturday Night.

With the Slam Dunk Contest happening last, it?s likely going to be the most important of the night. Competitors on both sides will be looking to finish their flushes and help their teams' charity win a ton of money from State Farm by being crowned the All-Star Saturday Night Champion.

After the first round, the top scorer from the East will face the Western Conference?s dunker with the highest point total in the first round. The player with the lowest Round 1 score will go first and a winner will be crowned after the two go head to head in the finals.

?

Voting

Fans pick the winners by voting for the best dunks in four different ways during the competition.

?

1) Text: Send the player?s last name to 38657 (DUNKS)

2) Tweet: Tweet #SpriteSlam with the player?s last name

3) All-Star App: Vote via official app, available on iTunes, Google Play and NBA?s site

4) NBA.com: Log in and vote on your computer or phone

Prediction

With so many great dunkers, it isn?t easy to narrow it down to just one winner, but we?re about to give it an honest shot.

    Who will win?

  • White

  • Ross

  • Green

  • Bledsoe

  • Evans

  • Faried

For the Eastern Conference, we feel that James ?Flight? White is going to have no problem soaring to the finals, as the 30-year-old journeyman has been a highlight-reel sensation since high school and was born for this competition.

White has performed in various dunk contests and thrown down some of the sickest jams ever caught on tape, but he has never been featured on this grand of a stage before.

We don't expect the veteran to disappoint come Saturday.

As for the West?s representative in the final round, we like Eric Bledsoe. Chris Paul?s backup has taken the league by storm and has an innate advantage in this competition.

Because he stands at just 6?1?, 195 pounds, practically any highly athletic dunk he does is going to look absolutely filthy.

For fans watching at home, the Clippers point guard is going to be easy to vote for, as it will appear he?s floating through the air to finish his flushes.

When it comes to the finals, however, the pure artistry of White is should win out in the end.

We feel the Knicks swingman has too much up his sleeve from years of practice and attempts. Bledsoe will garner a lot of votes, but the third-year man out of Kentucky falls just short of victory after White shocks the world with a never-before-seen jam.
